You do know that quote is false. Kishimoto never stated anything about any pairings in any interview I have seen.

Kishimoto did state that he already knew how he was going to end the series but just needed to figure out how to get from point "A" to point "B".

Just going to be honest, I think you were trolled. [link]

If this were true, I am purty sure it would have been published and some of my friends in Japan would have said something about it by now. None of them have said anything nor have I seen on their forums that support this. I have seen no scans or legit proof. Only that one website I seen has anything mentioning the petition and it's an English based website. Not to mention, my friend who lives in Japan talked about how petitions are not common in Japan because they are a traditional country and run on internal affairs. Not even 10-Rankai, the most infamous NaruSasuNaru Japanese artist hasn't said anything in any of her blogs or artwork.

It just sounds very fishy to me.
